Loan Officer Assistant

A remote, full-time opportunity with RWM Loans for recent graduates interested in mortgage banking, loan production, customer service, and residential real estate finance.

Overview

RWM Loans is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to provide dedicated support to an individual loan officer or lending team throughout the mortgage process—from the initial loan application through closing.

The Loan Officer Assistant serves as an extension of the loan production team and helps ensure that each borrower receives responsive, knowledgeable, and professional service.

Although the formal posting lists one year of experience, the Tennessee branch manager may be willing to invest in a candidate who is new to the mortgage industry and demonstrates a strong personality and culture fit, relevant customer service or support experience, and a genuine willingness to learn.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role provides direct, hands-on exposure to the residential mortgage origination process. The person selected will learn how loan applications are reviewed, documented, qualified, submitted to underwriting, and managed through closing.

The position also offers experience with conventional, FHA, VA, and non-agency mortgage products, along with automated underwriting systems, income calculations, verification of employment, fraud reports, underwriting conditions, and mortgage compliance requirements.

For a recent graduate interested in building a career in mortgage banking, this is an opportunity to learn the business while working closely with experienced loan officers, processors, and operations professionals.
