Hire Mortgage Banking Bound talent through Handshake (MTSU)
Mortgage Banking Bound (MBB) students are building real, practical skill in the residential mortgage lifecycle—origination through closing—along with the rules, regulations, ethics, and technology that drive the industry.
To make it easy for participating employers to connect with this talent, we’re using Handshake, MTSU’s official career platform.
Why Handshake
Handshake is where MTSU students already search and apply for internships and full-time roles, register for career events, and engage with employers.
-
A pre-trained, high-intent early talent pool (students are already investing 100 hours into the residential mortgage lifecycle)
-
A way to reduce friction: one place to post roles, collect applicants, and engage students (instead of email chains and PDFs)
-
A way to track engagement (who applied, who RSVP’d, etc.)
What we’re asking participating employers to do (5–10 minutes)
-
Create your employer account in Handshake (or log in if you already have one).
-
Join or create your company profile in Handshake.
-
Connect with Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) so you can post roles to MTSU students.
-
Post your internship / full-time roles (Mortgage Banking Bound students will be directed to apply through Handshake).
-
Optional: Engage via events, fairs, and interview schedules as appropriate.
